Force Point
From T4WCWiki
Force Points are areas on or in Azura where the Natural Flow is particularly strong. These Phenomenons typically occur where the waves of the flow intersect. These points may exist on the surface of the planet, or dwell deep within the rocks and soil of the terrain.
Effects
Force Points are areas that have an extreme presence of the Natural Flow. These points can appear as sparkling lights similar to the Aurora Borealis; or they can cause abnormal weather patterns if there is a negative influence on them.
Force Points usually also have a powerful influence on the terrain about it. If they are not properly contained, or stabilized, a force point can unleash powerful waves of energy that could cause rapid changes to the world around it. The Tabinus, for example, is one such race that was created by an unstable force point located in the center of Nomie.
Uses
Force points can grant access to various pieces of knowledge that flows with the intersecting flow streams. Since the streams all intersect together at a particular point, it is entirely possible for one with enough training to acquire information from anywhere on Azura. One must always use great caution while completing this task, as it is entirely possible for the listener to be dragged in with the powerful currents and become absorbed by the flow.
An exposed force point, such as those found above ground, can also be used to further augment one's influence on the world. Great caution (once again) must be taken, as improperly handling the energy from the force point could lead to undesirable effects, such as making the entire stream very unstable.
Currently, the Johnson Anonymous (JA) uses a particular force point in Xeros as a communications center for their operations. Likewise, the Root Beer Thieves Guild uses a force point in the Darkened Seas to hide their operations from the JA, as well as provide additional protection on the island by emitting a constant storm around it.
Unstable Points
An unstable force point can become very dangerous for Azura if left alone. As a Force Point becomes unstable, so do the streams that intersect it. This, in turn, will affect the other points, causing a fluctuation in them. To prevent a complete collapse, three moons have been placed to act as a natural guide to re-settle the flow. As they orbit Azura, each of them provide a unique signature to the flow. These signatures ensure that the force points do not shift too far from their origin.
