Getting digital was one of the first Sprite comics Alex made. The comic is now dead due to a lack of interest in continuing the series.

History

Initially, Getting Digital (or GD) was simply nothing more than a creation of pure boredom. While hanging around with Dreykon, Alex began to amuse himself with MSPaint, making a little sprite of Drake. The resulting comic that spun out from this was given an oddly large amount of praise. With much encouragement for more, Alex ended up producing several more pages, and started venturing into Flash before the project was terminated.

Initial Concepts

Like all ideas, the best one ends up being the one that stands above a mountain of scrapped ideas. Getting Digital was no exception for this, though the mountain was more of a hill. During the early attempts of establishing a plot, Getting Digital was intended to be a story about how the star cast members of Dragoon Rage wound up in the digital world. This plot was eventually scrapped when Alex found himself trying to make a title sequence for the damn thing; by then, the project had become ambitious and overwhelming. Soon after scrapping the old plot, Alex just found it better to wing it and drop whatever fluttered through his mind onto his screen.

Reasons for Termination

After experiencing several long hiatus periods, Getting Digital had become over-cooked on the proverbial back-burner. With many other projects on the list to be completed, there was no time left to be given to it, let alone interest. Viewers may also notice as they advance through the archive the ever increasing sense that the comic was entering a state of non-existence.
