On Writing
If anyone asked me for proof that writing is a skill that comes naturally to a very few, I'd tell them they're looking right at it. The earliest stories I remember writing were for English classes as early as seven years old. Needless to say, they were random and not that fantastic. Yet, the sheer process of writing, creating the characters, watching how their events unfold, it's a thrill in its own right. However, it's also easy to get hooked on it.
Junishi Sannin
My main story involves myself, brother Tony and sister Sarah as we explore Azura together while trying to achieve clashing goals, including treasure hunting, enjoying local cultures and throwing fugitives back in jail, the last of which being a secret to two out of three of us. As the name suggests, we use elements based on Asian Astrology and lifestyles.
Pulled from the Darkness
Kuroka's story, exploring his background and showing just what makes him tick. Starting with an epiphany and working his way through various struggles to become the mad, but kind (at least in his own way) dragon he is today.
Novels & Collaborations
On top of my comic series I also write collaborations with various friends, the most notable being Fate's Eternal Web, a story exploring the paranormal and incorporating various myths through Hana Roderick and Matt DeLioncourt. I don't mind third-person narrative, but I have a tendency to write novels in first, after exploring the character in depth of course.
Bouncing Around Europe
When I was born in the summer of 1988, my parents had been married just under a year and a half, and were working in Gemaringen, Germany, but lived in Tübigen. Despite being born in Germany, I do not hold German citizenship, as I not only have parents of British origin (although Dad considers himself an Irishman, he comes from the North), but I moved out when I was an infant. This was something my parents planned before my birth.
We moved to County Limerick, Ireland, and it was there that my brother, Tony, and sister, Sarah, were born.
When I was six, we moved to Southern France due to Dad finding work in a company there, and we stayed for two and a half years. However, it became clear that my two siblings were struggling because while the idea that children grasp new languages at a rate of knots compared to adults is far from untrue, they need a grasp of their native language first. Mum put her foot down then, and it was decided that after the school year, we'd move to England.
That summer, just before I turned nine, we moved in with my maternal grandfather in a small house in Surrey, a county just outside London. We found a place in a neighbouring town and we have been living in Surrey since. My family looks set to move, but with Tony starting university and Sarah starting Sixth Form this coming September, it's safe to say we won't be going very far.
Career
Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who needs to take more than one try before I find what works. Right now, I'm studying accounting, and so far, it's been going well. Keep your fingers crossed because it's going to be another three years of hard work, but it's going to be a lot cheaper than going to uni ^_^
